2027 Revaluation: Upcoming Dates & Important Reminders – Brunswick County Government

County News Posted on September 23, 2026 Related Resources PUBLIC NOTICE Over the coming months, Brunswick County will be sharing information and reminders about the county’s latest revaluation, which goes into effect at the start of calendar year 2027. Property owners are expected to receive a notice showing their updated 2027 property value by the end of March 2027. A revaluation (also known as a reappraisal) is a routine update to property tax values to bring them back in line with the current sale price of properties. Our state certified in-house appraisers have diligently and carefully researched and analyzed sales in our local market to determine an estimate of market value for all properties as required by North Carolina law. Below are some of the key reminders to keep in mind as we work toward finalizing assessed values, as well as some upcoming dates when the Board of Commissioners will discuss and/or take possible action on items related to the 2027 Revaluation process.
