The threats, which were made via Snapchat, claimed that bombs would be placed throughout the school and that there would be a school shooting. Police responded to the school on Tuesday night (May 13) to investigate the threat and conducted a thorough search of the building. It was deemed safe, but extra police were present on Wednesday as a precaution. The girl, whose identity is not being released due to her age, faces charges of making a terrorist threat and aggravated harassment. She is expected to appear at Albany County Probation at a later date, as reported by the City School District of Albany. The investigation is ongoing, with similar threats being investigated at KIPP Albany Community Charter School and Hackett Middle School. The police department, in collaboration with school security staff, is working to ensure the safety of students and staff.
