MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office says in a Facebook post a man was arrested after an 80 year old woman was attacked. Here is the post: An argument over a cellphone in Crestview yesterday turned violent—and an 80-year-old woman was among those attacked. Deputies arrested 45 year old Delairius Leshaun Watts after a domestic violence related argument with a woman at a Crestview residence escalated into a physical confrontation. According to the victims, Watts grabbed the woman and attempted to take her phone. When family members intervened, the situation became physical. Watts struck one woman and pushed her into chairs. An 80-year-old woman who tried to intervene was also attacked. According to deputies, Watts struck her in the chest and pushed her, causing her to fall and scrape her hand. A third woman was also struck and suffered injuries during the confrontation. All three victims provided sworn statements, and deputies documented injuries consistent with their accounts. Watts was arrested and charged with Battery on a Person 65 or Older and two counts of Battery, including one Domestic Violence Related. He tried to escape deputies but was located.
