A late push during the finale Pokemon Emerald run brought this year’s AGDQ total in line with 2025’s two mainline marathon events. Games Done Quick helped kick off 2026 in grand fashion by raising a copious amount of money for charity. Awesome Games Done Quick came to an end on Saturday evening/early Sunday morning. After seven full days of epic speedruns, with a few interruptions caused by some ill-timed fire alarms, the GDQ team finished with a final total of $2,443,414 raised for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. Source: Games Done Quick/Wes ‘Fish’ Chan AGDQ 2026’s total comes short of $2.5 million raised during last year’s Awesome Games Done Quick, but slightly surpasses the $2.4 milion raised during July’s Summer Games Done Quick event. The final amount raised factors in direct donations via both the Games Done Quick website and Twitch’s charity extension, as well as donations through purchases from the organization’s partners like Fangamer, The Yetee, and Humble Bundle. While the full marathon was viewable on Twitch, as always, this is the first time that a mainline GDQ event was also watchable live on YouTube.
