Belfast church to host Good Friday 'Way of Sorrows'

walk through the outdoor site in meditative reflection of the past year Event Location: The First Church in Belfast, UCC  Event Date: Thursday, April 1, 2021 (All day) BELFAST — The First Church in Belfast, UCC  will hold a Good Friday “Way of Sorrows” (similar to stations of the cross) set up on the church front lawn (104 Church St.). “All are invited to come and walk through as a meditation of the sorrows Jesus faced and which we have faced this past year,” said the Church, in a news release. It will be available Thursday through Saturday before Easter. There will also be a recorded service shown on Good Friday, at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., on Belfast’s public access TV station (Spectrum cable channel #2) as well as available on the First Church website (www.firstchurchinbelfast.org) and Facebook page. The First Church Easter service will be a recorded service, available online at 10 a.m., and 6 p.m. on the public access TV station.
