Bengals Twitter celebrates dominant defensive win vs. Texans | Cincy Jungle

The Cincinnati Bengals defense showed up against Tampa Bay with multiple turnovers, helping give them the momentum they needed to score a 33-27 win. However, some still wondered whether the defense really improved or just got lucky, given how fluky turnovers can be. Entering Week 2 against the Houston Texans, who scored 31 points in Week 1, the Bengals wanted to prove they were a legit defense this year, and boy, did they do that and then some in a 20-6 win at Houston. In the end, in a week where the offense was often floundering the defense was dominant, holding the Texans to just two field goals and no touchdowns. At key moments they stepped up on third and fourth down, and they were absolutely dominant in the run game even if they were not as good at disrupting Stroud as much as you would like to see.
