Credit: BinationalFilmFestival.org EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — The Binational Independent Film Festival is celebrating its 25th edition with a powerful tribute to cinema on both sides of the border. The long-running festival, supported by the communities of El Paso and Ciudad Juárez, continues its mission of artistic dialogue through film — showcasing independent movies, documentaries, and live discussions with the filmmakers behind them. This year’s Lifetime Achievement Awards go to two cinematic icons: actor César Évora and filmmaker Allan Holzman — one from each side of the border, reflecting the spirit of the festival.
