BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS12) — A civil rights complaint was filed Thursday over the wrongful arrest of a Boca Raton woman in a dismissed sexual abuse case involving her sons. The original case, which had been scheduled for trial in late 2025, involved allegations of sexual battery and lewd or lascivious molestation. The Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office said the charges were dismissed in October 2025 after “new information was brought to the State’s attention that requires dismissal of these charges,” according to previous reports. The complaint alleges that the detective conducted a flawed investigation that led to wrongful arrests and names Sheriff Rick Bradshaw for his role in overseeing the agency responsible.
