Britney Spears’ recent turbulence on Instagram has come to an end in a surprising way, as the pop star appears to have deleted her account. The “Lucky” singer’s account, which as of Saturday bore the handle @britneyspears and the display name XILA MARIA RIVER RED, now directs to an error page that notes the profile is no longer available. “The link may be broken, or the profile may have been removed,” the blank page now reads, in place of an account that displayed thousands of posts from over 12 years of activity. It is currently unclear whether Spears personally deleted her own account, or if the social media platform owned by Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta enacted a suspension or deletion of her account.
