“LinkedIn is a never-ending networking event. LinkedIn newsletters takes all that power and makes it easier to communicate with your clients.” That’s how Lia Bliss, a LinkedIn strategy and executive coach, opened her session at SWAY | LIVE in Boulder, Co. on Tuesday, where she spotlighted the impact the platform and its breakthrough feature offer to retirement industry professionals. Although LinkedIn rolled out its newsletter platform to users in 2022, the feature has recently garnered significant attention for its ability to move the needle for content creators and professionals wanting to build their brand. Its effectiveness could be first linked to timing and relevancy. LinkedIn’s algorithm gradually reduces a post’s visibility after a few hours, while newsletters tend to sit in user’s notifications and thus gather more attention and views. Currently, there are 184,000 newsletters on LinkedIn with 28 million subscribers. Year-over-year, newsletters reach 47% more engagement than posts, stated Bliss. “The open rate is astronomically higher compared to other newsletters. People are going to see your content much more frequently,” she said. Bliss added how LinkedIn, originally formed to help professionals grow and advance their careers with networking, has taken much of that relationship-building aspect to its content formats
