CONFUSION if a garden behind an arcade is residential or commercial has prompted councillors to defer two applications for officers to investigate further. A decision on two retrospective planning applications to change commercial space into an office and demolish a shed for a café patio at the rear garden of the Arcade in Cookham High Street has been delayed. Councillors sitting on the Maidenhead development management panel wanted clarification if the outbuildings fall within commercial or residential space after objectors claimed the garden has “always” been used Roseleigh homeowners and the upstairs flat of the Arcade.
