(KRCR) CORNING, Calif. — A 36-year-old Corning man was arrested Thursday after police found a stolen $2,000 bicycle behind his home. According to the Corning Police Department, Chico police asked Corning officers for help around 1:21 p.m. in a bike theft reported earlier this month. The owner told police the bicycle was being offered for sale on Facebook Marketplace in Corning. Corning officers obtained a search warrant for a home on West Street and found the bike in the backyard, police said. Mitchell Christian Jones, 36, was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property and on three misdemeanor warrants. He was booked into the Tehama County Jail. — Report a correction or typo.
