Christopher Lamarche on Tuesday again declined to hear Justice Sterling Sanderman’s decision in his second-degree murder trial by video, saying he wants to learn his fate in person. Lamarche was supposed to receive the verdict Friday but has been quarantined in the Edmonton Remand Centre due to a COVID-19 outbreak. Lamarche is accused of killing six-month-old Jarock Humeniuk, who was found dead in a north Edmonton home where Lamarche was living in May 2017. Police arrested him in Vancouver in July 2019 after a lengthy investigation, which included a “Mr. Big” undercover operation.
