Denver Stays at No. 6 and 5 in Hockey Polls

DENVER – The Denver Pioneers hockey team stayed put in the latest national rankings that were released on Monday, remaining at No. 6 in the USCHO.com poll and No. 5 on the USA Hockey list.   Denver earned a weekend sweep of then-No. 19 Miami, posting a 4-0 shutout on Friday before picking up a 3-2 win on Saturday. The Pioneers haven’t lost in regulation in 11 straight contests and haven’t lost by more than one goal all season.   No. 1 Michigan and No. 3 Michigan State also stayed put after they renewed their rivalry against one another with split in the home-and-home series, with both winning on the road. Wisconsin also stayed at No. 2 but earned more first-place votes after earning two blowout victories at Notre Dame.   NCHC-foe North Dakota moved up to No. 4 in the USCHO.com ranking but stayed at No. 6 in the USA Hockey poll, while Minnesota Duluth came in at No. 5 and 4 in the two polls. Behind Denver is Western Michigan at No. 7 in USCHO.com and No. 8 in the USA Hockey ranking.   Dartmouth—the only undefeated team in the nation at 10-0-0—continued to climb in the rankings
