Elite Dangerous shifts its monthly update reveals away from Twitch and toward YouTube

Over the past few months, some of the bigger news drops from Elite: Dangerous have been folded into a wider livestream from Frontier Developments that covers all of its different games – and often those details would be the last segment of the show. That changes next month, however, as the studio has announced that reveals for the spaceship sandbox will spin away on to the game’s YouTube channel instead. “Don’t worry, you’ll still get your regular cadence of Elite information, including behind the scenes information, reveals, concept art and more,” the announcement clarifies. “[I]nstead, we’re going to be delivering news to you in a less time-restricted way.” As for what to expect from this first new series of broadcasts, players are invited to tune in for a closer look at the recently revealed Type-11 Prospector mining ship. That broadcast is scheduled for sometime next week, possibly on Wednesday like every other time the studio has had reveals, but a firm date isn’t tied down yet.
