The fifth-seed Ridgway boys start the hike tonight with a visit to New Bethlehem for a match-up with four-seed Redbank Valley (7 p.m.). The Elkers enter the contest 5-8. The run-and-gun Bulldogs are 15-6. Tonight’s winner travels to top-seed, 20-2, Karns City on Thursday. On the other side of the bracket number-two seed, Coudersport Falcons (12-5) hosts seven-seed Smethport (9-9) and six-seed Clarion-Limestone (8-11) plays at three-seed Keystone (14-4). The Elkers defeated Clarion to claim last year’s district title after upsetting top-seed Coudersport in the semi-finals. They were also underdogs to the Falcons in the 2019 championship but pulled out a 52-50 win. The Bulldogs are averaging 66-points-per game and are led by Bryson Bain, Chris Marshall, and Mequese Gardlock who all average over 15 points per outing. “We’re confident we can do some things but we have to rebound.
