Box Score BUIES CREEK, N.C. – In a match between the top two teams in the CAA South standings, Campbell (9-4-4, 4-1-2) bested Elon (6-3-6, 3-1-3 CAA) at Eakes Athletics Complex on Saturday night, 2-1. The Camels scored one goal in each half to hand Elon its first conference defeat of the campaign. Martin Kozak converted a penalty kick with 1:20 left to split Campbell’s lead in half but the Phoenix could not find an equalizer. The teams will occupy the top two spots in the division entering the final weekend of the CAA regular season. How It Happened Elon created a quality chance in the third minute off a corner kick. After Kozak crossed the ball into the box, Charlie Kitch headed it just over the net, almost scoring his second off a corner in Elon’s last three matches. In the 17th minute, Campbell drew a foul just outside the box to earn a free kick.
