Elvis Andrus 'would love' to return to White Sox in 2023, is willing to shift to 2nd base

(670 The Score) White Sox shortstop Elvis Andrus would like to re-sign with the club for the 2023 season and is willing to shift to second base to help make that happen, he told Inside the Clubhouse on 670 The Score on Saturday morning. Andrus, 34, has only played shortstop in his MLB career. That’s also the position he has filled for the White Sox since he signed with them in August after being released by the Athletics, but Tim Anderson is Chicago’s entrenched shortstop when healthy. With that in mind, Andrus is open to the idea of shifting to second base, which has been a hole for the White Sox in recent years. “It’s big,” Andrus said when asked about his interest level in returning to the White Sox in 2023. “I feel that now being here and kind of tasting a little bit of the vision, the competition, I really get addicted.
