NEW DELHI: Digital infrastructure company Equinix said it has deployed a 5G and Edge Technology Development Center which includes an operational non-standalone 5G network from Finnish telecoms gear maker Nokia to test and validate 5G services and use cases. Equinix said it is further investing to help service providers and network operators with a production framework for assessing, incubating, and testing 5G and edge solutions for end-to-end secure applications. Meanwhile, the Dallas-based Edge Technology Development Center will initially focus on use cases such as Mobile Hybrid Multicloud Connectivity, Network Slicing, Distribute Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, enabling orchestration of infrastructure, augmented virtual reality, and gaming.
