Hemedti Official Facebook pages linked to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Sudan have disappeared in parallel with surfacing of numerous pages supporting the militia. Altaghyeer: Amal Mohamed Al Hassan Meta, the company that owns and operates Facebook, took down on Friday pages affiliated to the RSF militia from its platform which have millions daily active users. The RSF is involved in fierce fighting with the Sudanese Armed Forces since April 15 in the capital Khartoum and other towns. The fighting has immense repercussions on the Sudan and its people including killing and injuring of thousands, displacing millions and committing crimes against humanity. The militia used to publish its statements, activities in videos and audios on its official Facebook page as well as its leader’s and active supporters’ pages. The official Facebook page of the RSF Commander Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo “Hemedti” and that of the militia’s electronic media have suddenly disappeared as of Friday.
