By Ross Jackson NEW ORLEANS La . – The Saints’ second preseason test ended in a 17-17 draw with the Jacksonville Jaguars. THE STORY The game started off rough on both sides of the ball for the Saints. But some last-minute heroics made up for it. Down 9-17, Saints quarterback Spencer Ratter led a two-minute touchdown drive and converted a two-point try to tie up the game. After what was a shaky start, the game turned into one of the most exciting preseason matchups we’ve seen in some time. Rattler may have shown enough to sew up the quarterback competition on Sunday. But with him and rookie Tyler Shough splitting the two exhibition games, the team may want to get one more look next week against the Denver Broncos. A late interception by rookie Safety Jonas Sanker almost gave the team a chance to go for the win. However, after stepping out of bounds with no time left on the clock, the opportunity slipped through the team’s fingers.
