Highly touted receiver Carnell Tate visited Knoxville this weekend, marking his third visit to Tennessee this year. One of Tennessee’s top recruiting targets on the offensive side of the ball visited Knoxville for a junior day in January and in March. While in town, Tate took in the No. 1 baseball team in America— watching the Vols’ series finale loss to Georgia. The talented receiver even shared a conversation with Tennessee director of athletics Danny White and chancellor Donde Plowman. The IMG Academy standout is a five-star and the nation’s No. 16 player and No. 3 receiver according to the On3 consensus rankings. While Tate plays his prep football at IMG Academy in Florida, the 6-foot-2, 185-pound receiver is a Chicago native.
