It was originally located in Chatham and moved to Eastham in 1923. In 1996, it was moved about 300 feet inland from an eroding beach cliff. Scargo Tower, DennisPerched atop Scargo Hill Road, the 30-foot cobblestone tower opened in 1901, according to the Dennis Historical Society.
