On Monday, Governor Josh Shapiro launched official channels on WhatsApp.Shapiro is the first statewide elected officials to launch WhatsApp channels, in an effort to provide timely updates and expand the way Pennsylvanians can connect with state government. WhatsApp is used by over 100 million Americans, including many in the Latino community, and Shapiro has launched WhatsApp channels in English and Spanish, says the Shapiro Administration.The Shapiro Administration says on WhatsApp, both the English and Spanish channels will offer timely updates Pennsylvanians can act on.
