Grantchester's Robson Green pens 'emotional' Instagram post on ITV drama after co-star's exit

Robson Green has taken to Instagram to pen an ’emotional’ post about his hit ITV drama, Grantchester, and how ‘privileged’ he feels to be part of it, weeks after it was announced that his on screen partner in crime had quit the show. Robson has been leading the Cambridge set favourite since its launch in 2014, with Tom starring as Rev. Will Davenport for the last five; but in July it was confirmed, via ITV bosses, that Tom had decided to leave his popular role, breaking the news in a statement which read: “”I’ve had the most incredible time playing Will Davenport for the last five years. I got to solve crimes with my best friend, and work with the best cast and crew I could ever ask for. I’ll miss it more than anything. But it’s time for the baton to be passed, as it once was to me.” Given that the two forged a close bond off screen, as well as on it, Robson was understandably gutted about Tom leaving, especially afgter Tom hjad appeared as a gust on Robson’s BBC Great Weekend Escapes and even went on a fishing trip off the north sea coast with him
