The discovery of a series of video clips showing fights and bullying at Groton Jr. Sr. High School has raised concerns within the Groton Central School District.Two of several videos show students attacking other students in a restroom and a cafeteria.Two other videos also show students fighting by urinals in what’s either a restroom or maybe the bathroom section of a locker room. In these videos, other students tend to be in the vicinity of students engaging in violent behavior. In the fight videos, sometimes there are even other students encouraging the students to fight.Videos of the fights were captured on cellphones. Some of the fights were recorded on social media including SnapChat.Abbra De Jesus, a mother of two Groton students, became upset when she learned one of her son’s was attacked and the other was fighting. Trying to handle her sons’ situations, De Jesus went to the school and left “extremely upset these kids think this is cool,” she wrote in a message on Facebook.
