Hailsham Football Club has secured planning permission for a new clubhouse. Wealden District Council planning officers also approved proposals for a new entrance and turnstile, the placing of new stands and the repositioning of existing stands at the Beaconsfield Football Ground in Western Road. Officers said the new clubhouse — containing changing, toilet and kitchen facilities — would be similar to a 2022 application previously approved. In a report, a council planning spokesman said: “The 2022 application proposed a new changing room block to attach to an existing canteen building, this [canteen building] was later deemed as unsafe so was demolished and the current application seeks to replace the whole building as one. Wealden District Council “The proposed building is very similar in design to the previously approved one.
