The news comes almost a full year after the fourth season finale aired.Throughout its four-season run, High Maintenance was praised by critics for being an authentic look at New York and a surprisingly moving story about The Guy, a marijuana dealer played by Sinclair. As an anthology, High Maintenance focused on different stories about people in the city.Why isn’t High Maintenance returning?According to an official statement from HBO, the series co-creators Katja Blichfeld and Ben Sinclair need a break from the show and are looking forward to working on new projects.“Co-creators Katja Blichfeld and Ben Sinclair have decided to take a break from producing High Maintenance to pursue other projects.
