High school football coach requested nude images of students on Snapchat, police allege – WUSA9

Bobby Hix, a teacher at Kettle Run High School, was arrested Monday morning. FAUQUIER COUNTY, Va. — A high school teacher and football coach has been arrested, months after allegations surfaced and multiple football coaches were placed on leave.  On March 7, the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office told the county public school system that a report had been made against a Kettle Run High School employee.  Gary Robert “Bobby” Hix, 28, worked at Kettle Run High School as a science teacher and as an assistant football coach. On March 11, Hix, along with gym teacher and head football coach Charlie Porterfield, was put on administrative leave. A third, unnamed football coach was later also put on leave.  Over the next three months, police interviewed people and reviewed social media records and electronic devices. Now, police say they found Hix had asked students and football players that he supervised, both minors and adults, for nude images over the social media app Snapchat. On Snapchat, photographs and texts disappear after a certain amount of time, unless they are saved by one of the parties.
