Illness running through Yankees’ clubhouse forces lineup changes: ‘We got IVs going’

The Yankees are dealing with the same symptoms that they have been inflicting on their fan base over the past week. A handful of players woke up Wednesday morning with some kind of food poisoning or a stomach bug, Aaron Boone said, which forced the manager to rearrange his lineup to account for those who are sick because of something other than the Yankees’ six-game losing streak. Boone would not say which players were affected, other than Spencer Jones, who was out of the lineup because he was one of the ones dealing with the illness and replaced by José Caballero in center field against the Tigers.
