Instagram has introduced a new music property that is exclusive for India, that involves original music tracks and videos that are a minute long. The tracks and videos will be available only on Instagram for use in the Reels and Stories feature. The property is known as ‘1 minute music’, and includes tracks from 200 artists across India, including Dhvani Bhanushali, Neeti Mohan, Shaan, Himanshi Khurana, Aniruth and GV Prakash Kumar. The new property is an effort by Instagram towards encouraging original talent on its platform, as well as fueling Reels which is becoming a global platform where artists are releasing fresh music.Paras Sharma, Director, Content and Community Partnerships, Facebook India (Meta), says, “Music is a catalyst for trends on Instagram today. In fact, Reels is becoming the platform for people to discover music and artists too.
