Introducing the 2026 Women’s Cross Country Newcomers – Saint Joseph’s College of Maine

STANDISH, Maine – The Saint Joseph’s College women’s cross country team, led by fourth-year Head Coach Michael Burleson, welcomes a seven-member newcomer class for the 2026 season. The group includes six freshmen and senior Cadance Gilbert (Keene, N.H.) and joins a Monks squad that placed third at the 2025 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship. The freshman contingent features Addison Alpers (Bristol, N.H.), Meg Kingsley (Windham, Maine), Haley Marston (Greene, Maine), Danica Patry (Berlin, N.H.), Cecilia Steele (Stark, N.H.), and Juliana Yankowsky (North Andover, Mass.). Gilbert, an exercise science major and Keene High School graduate, adds an experienced upperclassman presence to the group. Four of the seven newcomers hail from New Hampshire, with Maine and Massachusetts also represented. Alpers, Patry, Steele, and Gilbert comprise the New Hampshire contingent, while Kingsley and Marston arrive from Maine. Yankowsky rounds out the group’s New England footprint as the lone Massachusetts native. The class includes three nursing majors in Alpers, Kingsley, and Marston. Patry is pursuing a degree in elementary and special education, Steele is studying business, Gilbert is majoring in exercise science, and Yankowsky enters Saint Joseph’s undeclared.
