About It’s Pride Month, You Know What That Means or It Is Pride Month, Walter refers to a series of redraw memes in which one character in the webcomic tells another, “It is Pride Month, you know what that means,” and the other responds with confusion, failing to understand how Pride Month effects the task at hand. The original version of the meme was posted to Tumblr in July 2022 and depicts Gustavo Fring from Breaking Bad saying the line to Walter White, who asks Fring if he wants them to make “gay meth.” In June 2023, the meme went viral on Twitter, inspiring redraws featuring new characters. Origin On July 14th, 2022, Tumblr[1] user flashcs5 posted a Breaking Bad webcomic in which Gustavo Fring approaches Walter and Jesse and says, “It’s Pride Month, Walter. You know what that means.” Walter responds, “Huh, what,” then, as Fring walks away in the next panel, says, “Do you want us to make like gay meth what?” The post gained over 47,000 notes in a year (shown below).
