Kentucky Tops No. 9 Texas A&M in College Station – UK Athletics

Kentucky scored 21 points in the third quarter and the Cats upset No. 9 Texas A&M 31-21 on Saturday at Kyle Field in College Station, Texas. Kenny Minchey was efficient on Saturday, connecting on 14 of 18 through the air for 252 yards and a touchdown. C.J. Baxter led all players with 87 rushing yards and he added two touchdowns. D.J. Miller caught five passes for 96 yards, while Kenny Darby caught two passes for 64 yards and a touchdown. Kentucky (2-1, 1-1 Southeastern Conference) kicked off to start the game and A&M’s Terry Bussey returned the ball to the 14 where he was hit by Demarcus Gardner, who dislodged the football, which was recovered by UK’s Kevis Thomas at the A&M 14. However, the play was overturned on video review and the Aggies took possession. Texas A&M (2-1, 0-1 SEC) drove 76 yards in 14 plays, but the UK defense came up huge at the end of the possession.
