The Kokomo Police Department is investigating a child solicitation case after a 10-year-old boy was allegedly coerced into sending inappropriate videos to people on social media and gaming platforms, including Roblox. That’s according to court documents, which also say the suspect used Snapchat to contact him. The Howard County Prosecutor’s Office formally charged Dominique Jose Castrejon, of Moreno Valley, California, with one count of child solicitation. It all started when Kokomo Police got a call from the child’s grandmother, stating she found her grandson had been sending inappropriate photos and videos in exchange for Robux, which is the currency used on the gaming platform Roblox. Kokomo Police found the videos and photos were sexually explicit in nature, according to court documents. During a forensic interview alongside the Indiana Howard County Department of Child Services, the 10-year-old boy stated he has accounts on multiple platforms including YouTube, Snapchat, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Twitch and Zangi, using a fake birthday to get around some of the age restrictions.
