Business Insider’s Post About a decade ago, Jae Park took a furniture-building class on a whim, and she loved it. She considered going into carpentry at the time, but after leaving college with six-figure debt, she gave up on the idea. Instead, she wanted to pursue a path that could let her make more money. Over the past year, as her tech job pushed her to incorporate AI into every aspect of her workflow, she wanted out. She left her tech job in March with the plan of becoming a carpentry apprentice at 32. She said finding an apprenticeship has proven to be difficult, but she’s still overjoyed with her decision.
