The move enables professionals to carry their verified identity across multiple platforms where they maintain a presence, extending LinkedIn’s trust framework beyond its own network. External platforms such as Adobe’s Content Authenticity app and Behance are among the early adopters integrating the “Verified on LinkedIn” badge. UserTesting has already incorporated LinkedIn verification into its research panel management system, reporting improvements in participant authenticity and the reliability of collected feedback. Other platforms, including TrustRadius and G2, are also participating in the early rollout. LinkedIn’s verification system requires users to verify their identity through methods such as government-issued identification, professional email addresses, or verified phone numbers.
