Linn County Conservation Hosting Open House July 19 for New Event Lodge

Conservation Department – Linn County Posted on July 09, 2026 Linn County Conservation is hosting an open house for the Pheasant Ridge Lodge at Morgan Creek Park (7212 E Ave. NW, Cedar Rapids) Sunday, July 19 from 1 to 4 p.m. The community is invited to drop in any time during these hours to tour this new reservable venue designed for weddings, graduation receptions, corporate retreats, family gatherings, and more.  Pheasant Ridge Lodge is an ADA accessible facility with 4,800 square feet of meeting space which accommodates banquet style seating of 240 guests. Along with tables and chairs, the facility includes a kitchen equipped with a serving counter, commercial sized refrigerator, freezer, warming oven with 10 sheet pans, microwave, and areas of storage. The indoor space includes dimmable lights, two guest changing rooms, and a gas fireplace. The 5,600-square-foot outdoor patio includes several picnic tables, a fire ring with six sitting stones with a view of the prairie, and a catering/service entrance with two double outdoor cooking grills nearby.  Construction of the lodge follows a 2022 Morgan Creek Park renovation which included a state-of-the-art playground, trail additions, outdoor reservable shelter, prairie, and wetland development near the lodge site. “Creating this
