Man fatally shot at family gathering – LimaOhio.com

LIMA — The Lima Police Department is investigating an apparent homicide that happened Friday evening. According to a release from the department, at around 7:40 p.m., officers responded to the 800 block of State Street after receiving notice of shots fired at a family gathering. Upon arriving, officers found Damariante Dillingham, 30, suffering from a gunshot wound. Dillingham was transported to Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center but later died from his injuries at the hospital. Detectives spoke to several witnesses at the scene and have started to gather evidence on what led to the shooting.
