A man pled guilty during a change of plea hearing in Superior Court Tuesday afternoon to sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl he met on Snapchat. Scott Robert Santos, 24, pleaded guilty to one count of third degree criminal sexual conduct and possession of child pornography. Santos was accused in 2025 of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl he met on Snapchat and recording the assault. Initially, Santos was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct, one count each of possession of child pornography and electronic enticement of a child, all as second-degree felonies. As part of the plea agreement, one count of his criminal sexual conduct charge and his electronic enticement of a child charge were dismissed. Santos faces a jail term of 10 years, but with four years suspended, according to the court. According to a magistrate’s complaint filed in Superior Court, Santos told police he had sex with the girl and recorded the encounter, but he said the girl “told him that she was 16 years old.” The girl told police the two met on Snapchat, where he said he was 23 and she said she was 15.
