Robert Burnham, a 44-year-old Gloucester resident, pleaded guilty Thursday to one count of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of possession of child sex abuse material, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. In June 2024, Burnham met a 13-year-old girl on Snapchat and told her he was in her grade, according to prosecutors. Burnham then told the victim he already had nude photos of her, and that he would send them to her father if she didn’t send Burnham sexually explicit material. From June to October 2024, Burnham coerced the victim into sending explicit videos and pictures. If she did not comply right away, he would threaten her, according to prosecutors. In one instance, Burnham told her he was “going to put f*****g hand on (her)” and that he was going to rape her.” Burnham contacted other minors on Snapchat and used similar tactics, threatening them if they did not comply.
