Men’s Soccer Set to Host Drake in First Conference Match – University of Evansville Athletics

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville men’s soccer team is set to host Drake on Saturday for its first conference match of the season. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT.   Series History  Saturday marks the 39th all-time meeting between Evansville and Drake. The Bulldogs hold a 22-13-3 advantage in the series and lead 10-7-0 in meetings played in Evansville. The teams met last year in Des Moines where the teams played to a 0-0 draw. Scouting Drake Drake enters Saturday’s match with a 4-2-2 record. The Bulldogs most recently fell to Florida International, 1-0, on Saturday in Miami. Evan Carlson leads Drake with three goals this season, which ranks tied for fourth in the Missouri Valley Conference alongside Evansville’s Alejandro Fernandez . Last Time Out Evansville fell to No. 9 Georgetown, 3-2, on Monday night in Washington, D.C. Alejandro Fernandez opened the scoring in the fourth minute with his third goal of the season.
