Miami woman accused of robbing man she met on Instagram at her luxury apartment, cops say

A Miami woman is facing charges after she was accused of working with two other women to rob a man who she met on Instagram at her luxury apartment, police said. Nicole Cano, 30, was arrested Monday on charges of false imprisonment and strongarm robbery, Miami-Dade jail records showed. The alleged incident happened back on April 11, when the victim said he was contacted by Cano, who he had previously met on Instagram, an arrest report said. According to the report, they agreed to meet that afternoon for drinks at her apartment at Paraiso Bayviews, a luxury high-rise condo building on Northeast 31st Street. The man said Cano escorted him to her apartment and while he was admiring the view from the balcony, two unknown females came out of a bedroom, the report said. Cano and the two other women began demanding money from him and he shouted that he didn’t have any money but they prevented him from leaving the apartment, the report said.
