By Field Level Media Sep 18 (Field Level Media) – The Washington Nationals agreed to a four-year contract extension plus a club option for 2031 with right-hander Cade Cavalli on Friday. Reports pegged the worth as $47 million. The deal would grow to $70 million over five seasons if the Nationals pick up the option. “We are thrilled that Cade and his family will remain part of the Washington Nationals for years to come,” managing principal owner Mark D. Lerner said in a statement. “Since we drafted Cade in 2020, we’ve been continually impressed with who he is as a baseball player and as a human being.
