NEVADA, Iowa — A community Facebook group in Nevada has become the go-to place for businesses in the area trying to get through the pandemic. Marc and Amber Olsen started the Nevada, Iowa STRONG page as a way for Nevada businesses to post their hours, services, menus and specific COVID-19 guidelines in order to get the information out to as many people as possible. “I had somebody approach me the other day and tell me that they actually went to go visit a new nail salon that we have here in town, because I had shared their post from their business page,” Amber said “And that made me so happy because that is exactly what the group is here for.” Paula Feltner, owner of Bricktown Bakery, is one of the many businesses owners the Olsen family has helped through their page. “It has been pretty overwhelming to see the community coming in and one by one they just thank us,” Feltner said. » Read More
