New Mexico has launched a civil suit against Meta platforms and Mark Zuckerberg after an investigation revealed that Facebook and Instagram has become a ‘marketplace for predators.’The civil lawsuit was filed Tuesday in New Mexico state court and alleges that ‘Meta knowingly exposes children to the twin dangers of sexual exploitation and mental health harm.”Meta’s platforms Facebook and Instagram are a breeding ground for predators who target children for human trafficking, the distribution of sexual images, grooming, and solicitation,’ the suit claims.The suit used AI-generated photos of minors, which were then used to make fake accounts.
