ETHEKWINI NEWSFLASH FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE NEW WHATSAPP CHATBOT NUMBER FOR ELECTRICITY SERVICES EThekwini Municipality is pleased to announce the launch of a new WhatsApp Chatbot number for the Energy Management Directorate.  Customers are required to use this new platform to access electricity-related services.  This initiative forms part of the Municipality’s ongoing commitment to enhancing service delivery through innovative digital solutions. New WhatsApp Number: 064 761 7930 Old WhatsApp Number: 076 791 2449. The new WhatsApp Chatbot offers customers a more efficient and user-friendly experience when managing electricity-related queries.  Key features include: -Faster customer validation, allowing customers to authenticate using a meter number, connection number, or account number instead of providing a physical address -An improved chatbot interface with a more intuitive layout designed to enhance user interaction -Quicker service turnaround for logging faults and service requests -Live outage tracking for logged faults, integrated with the Directorate’s online outage portal. Customers are encouraged to save the new WhatsApp number, 064 761 7930, and begin using it to access electricity-related services more efficiently.
