NFL Announces Punishment for Giants Player in Loss to 49ers – Heavy Sports

On November 8, the NFL published its Gameday Accountability  report for Week 9, and one player who will receive a financial penalty is the Giants’ Dane Belton. The appeals are evaluated by a panel that includes former NFL players Derrick Brooks, Ramon Foster, and Jordy Nelson, all jointly appointed and compensated by the NFL and NFLPA . Ultimately, their decisions are final and cannot be overturned. For Belton, the league is fining him for unnecessary roughness after he hit, kicked, tripped, or used his knee on a play in the fourth quarter at the 6:11 minute mark.
