On Oct. 26, Minaj’s “Super Bass” officially crossed one billion views on YouTube. “Super Bass” served as the fifth single from Minaj’s blockbuster 2010 debut studio album Pink Friday. Eventually peaking at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, “Super Bass” became the rapper’s first unaccompanied visit to the ranking’s top 10. In recent years, “Super Bass” has appeared on several Billboard staff lists, including The 100 Best Karaoke Songs of All Time (No. 7) and The 500 Best Pop Songs That Appeared on the Hot 100 (No. 13). The song’s music video also earned Minaj her first of five best hip-hop Moonpeople at the VMAs, the most victories of any artist in that category.
