The fourth round of the OHSAA football playoffs arrived on Friday, Nov. 21, and the Division II, Region 5 final featured rival high schools from Summit County. No. 1 seed Archbishop Hoban and No. 2 seed Walsh Jesuit met at Bedford Bearcat Stadium, and the Warriors rolled to a 35-7 win. Walsh controlled the line of scrimmage on offense and defense to improve to 11-1. Hoban concluded its season with a 10-2 record. Walsh advances to meet Avon, a 36-19 winner over Highland, in a state semifinal at 7 p.m. Nov. 28 at the University of Akron’s InfoCision Stadium.
